Showcasing NUT’s Research Excellence at the 2026 AAAS Annual Meeting as a J-PEAKS Member/ February 12-14, 2026

Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) participated in the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting held in Phoenix, Arizona, from February 12 to 14, 2026.
Representing the J-PEAKS program, NUT joined the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) pavilion alongside 11 other J-PEAKS adopted universities. Our participation focused on showcasing NUT’s unique research capabilities and the broader appeal of Japan’s collaborative research landscape.

During the event, Prof. Tadachika Nakayama, Executive Vice President of NUT, delivered a presentation highlighting the university’s distinctive research strengths and the strategic advantages of international collaboration through the J-PEAKS framework. His session successfully captured the audience's interest, significantly enhancing NUT’s international visibility.

At the booth, the delegation actively engaged with attendees, promoting the attractiveness of Japan’s research environment as a unified J-PEAKS group. Furthermore, members attended lectures by officials from Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. These sessions provided invaluable insights into advanced industry-academia collaboration and research support systems, which will serve as vital benchmarks for enhancing NUT's own research infrastructure.

Building on the success of this exhibition, NUT remains committed to expanding its global research network and strengthening its international presence.
