Tours of the New GX and DXR Buildings at Niigata University of Pharmacy and Medical Life Sciences and Nagaoka University of Technology Held / November 4, 2025
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, a tour of the new buildings (GX and DXR buildings) of Niigata University of Pharmacy and Medical Life Sciences (NUPALS) and Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) was held under the auspices of the Nagaoka University of Technology Education and Research Foundation for Technology Development. On the day of the tour, about 15 people, including NUT students and representatives from companies, participated.
In the morning, the participants visited Niigata University of Pharmacy and Medical Life Sciences, where they were given a tour of the latest research facilities and experimental equipment related to regional cooperation by Professor Hiroshi Takahisa, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Life Sciences. Being exposed to the advanced research environment in the fields of pharmacy and life sciences was a very stimulating opportunity for the students, who aim to solve problems in the international community and in local communities.
In the afternoon, the participants returned to the NUT campus and toured the Regional GX Innovation Co-Creation Center (GX Building) and the DXR Agile Manufacturing Research and Development Center. Seeing firsthand the cutting-edge centers that support Green Transformation (GX) and Digital Transformation (DX) combined with Cross Reality (XR), many participants expressed their expectations for future joint research and social implementation.
Through this project, initiatives will continue to strongly promote research and development utilizing local resources, human resource development for the next generation, and international industry-academia-government collaboration.
