On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) announced the selected research unit for the first call for proposals under its "Research Unit Development Support Program" as part of the J-PEAKS project.

This initiative aims to further develop NUT's core research strengths and establish international research hubs. Following a rigorous selection process, one research unit was selected for this round.

With these newly selected units at the forefront, NUT will continue to strongly promote the integration of interdisciplinary research, the nurturing of young researchers, and initiatives focused on solving global social issues.
