【Event Report】"J-PEAKS Convergence Knowledge Workshop" Lecture & Discussion/ October 17, 2025

On Friday, October 17, 2025, the "J-PEAKS Convergence Knowledge Workshop" Lecture and Discussion Session was held in the Function Room of the Regional GX Innovation Co-Creation Center at Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT).
The purpose of this seminar is to bring about social change by bringing together diverse knowledge, creating a "vitality of knowledge" that creates new value, and giving back to the community.
The event was a great success, with more than 50 participants, including students, faculty, and staff of the university, as well as many people from companies and local governments.
In the lecture, Mr. Heihei Tsunami of Global Success Coaching and Ms. Cornelia Kalcher TSUHA gave an interactive lecture on the importance of coaching and methods, including group work.
The lectures were given by Prof. Tadachika Nakayama, Executive Vice President of NUT; Mr. Hiromi Yano, Former Counsellor of the WTO Rules Division; Mr. Daiki Masumoto, General Manager, Converging Technology Research Institute, Fujitsu Limited; and Mr. Akihiro Ejiri, Technology Succession Corporation, and were followed by heated discussions that exceeded the scheduled closing time.
In closing, Prof. Shigematsu, Vice President and Director of Osaka Metropolitan University, our partner university in the J-PEAKS project, gave a speech and the workshop was successfully concluded.
Through the J-PEAKS project, NUT aims for Sustainability Transformation (SX), a new type of research university where society and the university evolve together in a sustainable manner and continue to create social change.
