On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) announced the selected research unit for the first call of its "Research Unit Development Support Projects" under the J-PEAKS project.

This initiative aims to further develop the university’s core research strengths and establish international research hubs. Following a rigorous selection process, one research unit was selected for this round.

With this newly selected unit at the forefront, NUT will continue to strongly promote the integration of interdisciplinary research, the nurturing of young researchers, and initiatives focused on solving global social issues.
