On February 8, 2026, a new manufacturing base "L-LAB" was established at Akita International University, our partner university, and started operation as an affiliated branch of Nagaoka University of Technology at the end of March.

　L-LAB" is a fabrication space equipped with digital machine tools and a place of creation where students can freely give shape to their ideas. The establishment of this branch will further expand the network of the J-PEAKS project promoted by Nagaoka University of Technology, and is expected to create new innovations through the fusion of "manufacturing" and "international education" that transcends the boundaries of arts and sciences.

　Going forward, we will make maximum use of the resources between the two universities to further promote efforts to solve regional issues, foster creative human resources with a global perspective, and promote international academic collaboration.
