【Upcoming Event】DXR Manufacturing Platform Special Seminar: Understanding the Future of AM (Additive Manufacturing)/ April 28, 2026
On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) will host the "DXR Manufacturing Platform Special Seminar."
3D printing and AM (Additive Manufacturing) technologies are evolving at a rapid pace. However, due to this speed, it is often difficult to get a clear, balanced picture of the entire technological landscape. Many businesses face practical hurdles, such as wondering where to begin, or what budgets and staffing are required for implementation.
In this installment of the "Understanding AM!" seminar series, NUT is pleased to welcome Mr. Thomas Pang, President & CEO of Additive Japan Corporation and Specially Appointed Professor at NUT. He will cover a wide range of topics, from the fundamentals of AM to the latest technological trends, diverse global case studies, and strategic thinking and business models for mass production and commercialization:
- Fundamentals & Technology: Understanding the essence of the ever-evolving AM process
- Latest Applications: Knowing what is happening on the global frontlines.
- Business: Obtaining concrete tips for overcoming hurdles to commercialization and mass production.
NUT hopes that this seminar will provide participants with a clear, hands-on understanding—feeling that"This is what AM is all about"—and serve as a helpful step toward implementing AM at their respective sites.
Through the J-PEAKS project, NUT will continue to foster next-generation manufacturing talent and return innovative technologies to the local and international communities. All interested individuals are cordially invited to participate.
