On Friday, July 4, 2025, Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the \"Regional GX Innovation Co-Creation Center\" and the \"DXR Manufacturing Open Innovation Center\" on campus.
The Regional GX Innovation Co-Creation Center is dedicated to empirical research aimed at promoting Green Transformation (GX) within regional communities worldwide. Meanwhile, the DXR Manufacturing Open Innovation Center serves as a hub for open innovation in the industrial sector, focusing on the development of manufacturing technologies that integrate Digital Transformation (DX) and Cross Reality (XR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his opening remarks, President Shigeharu Kamado expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders and outlined the centers' future direction. Following the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the contractors, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by President Kamado, along with Mr. Tatsunobu Isoda (Mayor of Nagaoka City), Mr. Fumitoshi Nogami (Director, Niigata Prefecture), Mr. Atsushi Inoue (Director-General, MEXT), Mr. Hiroshi Kawakami (Director, METI), and Mr. Okito Ohara (Chairman of the Nagaoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, attended by approximately 250 participants, concluded with a successful tour of both facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NUT will maximize the potential of these new centers as hubs for community and industrial co-creation. By utilizing our \"Convergence Knowledge,\" we will continue to contribute to society through the practical implementation of our research results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
