Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) participated in the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting held in Phoenix, Arizona, from February 12 to 14, 2026.
Representing the J-PEAKS program, NUT joined the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) pavilion alongside 11 other J-PEAKS adopted universities. Our participation focused on showcasing NUT\u2019s unique research capabilities and the broader appeal of Japan\u2019s collaborative research landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, Prof. Tadachika Nakayama, Executive Vice President of NUT, delivered a presentation highlighting the university\u2019s distinctive research strengths and the strategic advantages of international collaboration through the J-PEAKS framework. His session successfully captured the audience's interest, significantly enhancing NUT\u2019s international visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the booth, the delegation actively engaged with attendees, promoting the attractiveness of Japan\u2019s research environment as a unified J-PEAKS group. Furthermore, members attended lectures by officials from Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. These sessions provided invaluable insights into advanced industry-academia collaboration and research support systems, which will serve as vital benchmarks for enhancing NUT's own research infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on the success of this exhibition, NUT remains committed to expanding its global research network and strengthening its international presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
