Exchange of Opinions and Facility Tour Held with Akita International University / December 8, 2025
On Monday, December 8, 2025, Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) representatives visited Akita International University (AIU)—a partner institution of the J-PEAKS project—to exchange opinions and tour their facilities with the aim of strengthening cooperation.
From NUT, President Shigeharu Kamado, Executive Director Masatoshi Takeda, Professor Tadachika Nakayama (Executive Vice President of NUT), and other related personnel participated in the meeting. They engaged in lively discussions from various perspectives with AIU President Monte Cassim and other concerned parties on sharing world-class educational environments and nurturing global leaders through the fusion of different academic fields.
Through this exchange, shared challenges and the direction of future collaboration became clearer, marking a significant step toward a stronger partnership.
Following the meeting, the participants toured laboratories and on-campus facilities to deepen their understanding of AIU’s research environment and educational system. This visit further solidified the shared philosophy of the J-PEAKS project and clarified the path toward concrete social implementation.
NUT will continue to accelerate its efforts to create social change through its collaboration with Akita International University.
