On Monday, August 4, 2025, the "Symposium on the Project to Promote the Strengthening of Regional Core and Distinctive Research Universities 2025" (hosted by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) was held at the Japan Industrial Club building.

　The purpose of this symposium was to widely disseminate J-PEAKS, introduce the initiatives of the universities selected in FY2024, and support exchanges among the selected universities and matching between them and industry.

President Kamado explained the University's strategies, initiatives, implementation system, and facilities for the realization of a world-class "social impact-creating SX research university" that promotes both societal sustainability and university sustainability, and the audience was left with a renewed commitment to make further contributions to the community and society as a leader of Japanese research power.

　In this project, NUT will continue to take on the challenge of further strengthening cooperative relationships with partner universities, etc. and, furthermore, to build cooperative relationships with other universities that have been selected for J-PEAKS, so that we can make further contributions to the region and society.
