Opinion Exchange and Facility Tour at Niigata University of Pharmacy and Applied Life Sciences (NUPALS)
On Friday, September 26, 2025, representatives from NUT visited Niigata University of Pharmacy and Applied Life Sciences (NUPALS), a partner institution of the J-PEAKS project, for an opinion exchange and facility tour aimed at strengthening collaboration. From NUT, President Shigeharu Kamado, Executive Director Osamu Yamashita, Executive Director Yoshio Kamiji, Executive Vice President Tadachika Nakayama, and administrative staff participated in the meeting. They engaged in a lively discussion with President Hitoshi Satoh, Chairman Takamichi Sugihara, Professor Hiroshi Takahisa (Dean of the Faculty of Applied Life Sciences), and other key members of NUPALS. The dialogue focused on promoting joint research, administrative staff collaboration, and the mutual exchange of students and faculty members.
Through this exchange, common challenges and the strategic direction for collaboration became clearer, marking a significant step toward a stronger partnership.
Following the meeting, the participants toured the campus facilities, specifically focusing on laboratories planned for future J-PEAKS collaboration. This visit allowed both universities to share the J-PEAKS philosophy of "Convergent Knowledge" even more deeply and to clarify the path toward concrete social implementation.
NUT will continue to accelerate its efforts to create social change through strong collaboration with NUPALS.
