Matching Event for the Formation of Research Units/ April 16, 2025
On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) held a matching event dedicated to the formation of new research units.
This initiative was designed to enhance research capabilities by deepening mutual understanding among researchers and exploring the "seeds" of potential joint research.
The event brought together a total of 66 researchers, including 48 presenters. Participants also included researchers from our partner institution, Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU), fostering a collaborative atmosphere that extended beyond our own campus. The sessions were conducted in a three-group rotation, encouraging active interaction as presenters and participants frequently exchanged roles.
The venue was filled with excitement as researchers from diverse fields—who typically have few opportunities to interact at conventional academic conferences—explored new collaborative possibilities by sharing insights and exchanging perspectives.
To conclude the event, President Shigeharu Kamado, General Manager of this project, delivered an inspiring message to the researchers, expressing his high expectations for their future work. This was followed by a networking session where the circle of dialogue expanded around President Kamado, transcending organizational boundaries and fields of study.
Through this project, NUT will continue to strengthen the research capabilities of both the university and the nation. We remain committed to working closely with the local community to vigorously promote the social implementation of research results and social transformation.
