On Friday, July 4, 2025, TUAT held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the "Regional GX Innovation Co-Creation Center" and "DXR Manufacturing Open Innovation Center," both of which were completed on campus, at a special venue set up between the two centers.
The Regional GX Innovation Co-Creation Center is a facility for conducting empirical research to promote GX (Green Transformation) in "regions" around the world, and the DXR Monozukuri Open Innovation Center is a facility that serves as a center for open innovation in the industrial field for manufacturing technologies that combine DX (Digital Transformation) and XR (Cross Reality). The DXR Monozukuri Open Innovation Center is a facility that serves as a base for open innovation to develop manufacturing technologies that combine DX (Digital Transformation) and XR (Cross Reality) in the industrial field.

In his opening remarks, President Shigeharu Kamado thanked everyone involved and gave an overview of the Center and the direction of its future activities. The two centers were then opened to the public. This was followed by the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the contractors responsible for the construction of both centers, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony by President Kamado, Nagaoka City Mayor Tatsunobu Isoda, Niigata Prefecture Director Fumitoshi Nogami, MEXT Director Inoue, METI Director Kawakami, and Nagaoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Ohara Okito, The event concluded with a tour of both centers, which was a great success.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of people (approximately 250), who had high expectations for the University and much interest in the Center's future activities.
We will make maximum use of this new facility, and as a center for co-creation with the local community and industry utilizing our comprehensive knowledge, we will promote initiatives to make further contributions to society through the implementation of research results and other means.
