On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, we invited Prof. Gavin Kearney and Dr. Michael McLoughlin from the University of York in the UK, a J-PEAKS partner university, to give a special lecture.

In their lectures, the professors introduced their cutting-edge research and the features of the University of York's AudioLab. Not only Japanese students but also many international students came to the venue, and the time was enriched by the Q&A session.

We expect that the visit to Japan and the lectures by the professors will be an opportunity to further develop mutual exchange between Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) and the University of York. We will continue our research exchanges with partner universities and promote efforts to accelerate and raise the level of international development and social implementation of our research activities.
