On April 8, 2026, the cherry blossoms at Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) reached full bloom.

To celebrate, the "NUT Sakura Walking Festival" will be held this weekend, April 11 (Sat.) and 12 (Sun.). NUT’s famous "Sakura Street" features over 100 Somei-yoshino cherry trees, creating a magnificent floral arch for visitors to enjoy.

During this festival, Sakura Street will be designated as a pedestrian-only zone (except for authorized business vehicles) to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. Additionally, the university cafeteria will be open to the public from 11:00 to 13:30.
